Public business incentives: a conceivable tool for CSR diffusion support
The research aims at outlining the public authorities' supporting policies in the European and the Italian context in order to promote CSR diffusion.

More in detail, we focused the attention on business incentives supplied by public authorities to promote, among local enterprises, the diffusion of CSR practices towards employees and the integration of "accountability" concept.
For each geographical context, we conduced an evaluation that focused on public subjects supplying business incentives, the level of enterprises interest towards to these tools and their effectiveness in CSR diffusion and implementation.
The methodology used in the research project included the following activities:

- a documental analysis in European and Italian context;
- the evaluation of suppliers point of view, realizing phone interviews;
- the evaluation of enterprises' point of view about business incentives, carrying out a survey to a group of enterprises that used business incentives.

The research permitted to compare the initiatives realized in the two geographical contexts considered and to give suggestions in order to optimize public supporting policies for CSR culture diffusion in the Italian economic system.
